Explanation

For the biography statements of the band members from about 300-400 different interviews were used to create a new, independent work. These are small quotations according to § 51 of German copyright law, mostly however fragments, because the statements were cut, translated and put together in a new way to represent e.g. a topic coherently.
The original text has been written in German. The English version is a translation. The words and phrases used are often not those that were used by the band members originally.

The photographers and artists do not influence the content of the pages on which their work appears. The copyright is attached under the corresponding picture and moreover in "biography: foreword" and in "links". A respective permission for using the pictures is given.
Readers of this website are not allowed to copy pictures and use them in any way! Permission is only given for depechemodebiographie.de.

A written permission for the excerpts of Recoil-songs is given. This website is registered at GEMA.
